As the Partnership for Responsible Battery and Metal Recycling (PROBAMET) project came to a close, the team paid a courtesy call on the Director General of NESREA, Dr. Innocent Barikor to appreciate him for the support towards the success of the project.
The Executive Director of Sustainable Research and Action for Environmental Development (SRADev Nigeria), Dr. Leslie Adogame thanked Dr. Barikor for leading from the front throughout the duration of the project.
In his response, Dr. Barikor restated the importance of collaboration in achieving environmental sustainability. He noted that the PROBAMET Project has been instrumental in raising awareness on the dangers of improper battery disposal and the need for effective recycling methods.
