The Director of Alef Recycling Company Limited, Wissam Ramlawi, paid a courtesy call on the Director General of NESREA, Dr. Innocent Barikor to get deeper insight into plastic waste management under the Circular Economy Model in Nigeria .
While sharing ideas with his guest, Dr. Barikor said the Roadmap for the Sustainable Use of Plastics in Nigeria (developed with the support of World Economic Forum through Nigeria National Plastic Action Partnership (NNPAP) was launched by the Honourable Minister of Environment Malam Balarabe Abbas Lawal in November last year, adding that the National Environmental (Plastic Waste Control) Regulations was awaiting official gazette of the Federal Government.
He said both documents would provide solid framework for effective plastic waste control in the country.
