NESREA AND NEPZA TEAM UP TO PROMOTE ENVIRONMENTAL BEST PRACTICES IN FREE TRADE ZONES
The National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA) and the Nigerian Export Processing Zones Authority, NEPZA are collaborating to promote environmental best practices in the Free Trade Zones of the Country.
This came to the fore at a meeting between the Director General of NESREA, Dr. Innocent Barikor and the Managing Director of NEPZA, Dr. Olufemi Ogunyemi Wednesday in Abuja.
During the meeting, both Agencies explored strategies for environmental education and awareness in the Free Trade Zones in order to forestall activities that impact negatively on the environment, whilst also ensuring smooth economic operations.
The collaboration between both Agencies is expected to enhance environmental sustainability while also aligning with the Federal Government Policy on Ease of Doing Business.
