NEWS || WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 2016 CELEBRATION

The National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA) joined the Federal Ministry of Environment in celebrating this year’s World Environment Day on Sunday, 5th June, 2016. The venue of the event was Tobix Garden, Abuja and was themed “Join the Race, Better the World” and was attended by leading policy makers in the environment sector including the Honourable Minister of Environment, Mrs. Amina J. Mohammed, Hon. Minister of State, Ministry of Environment, Mr Ibrahim Jibrin and Chief Executives of the Agencies under the ministry.

The event featured drama and song presentations from pupils and undergraduates, good will messages, exhibition of products and services related to the Environment as well as on tree-planting exercises.  The Hon. Minister of Environment delivered a keynote, in which she called on stakeholders to join hands together in addressing the challenges to environmental sustainability in Nigeria.
